I have a problem with upgrade UCM to recent version. I have fresh UCM 188.8.131.5200-2. I downloaded UCM upgrade UCSInstall_UCOS_184.108.40.20600-5.sgn.iso (both files). When I tryed to upgrade UCM, I got this error "The version number inside the selected upgrade does not match the filename". How can I fix this error? Should I first upgrade UCM to SU1a release?
This type of error can be caused when combining the 2.iso files. Check that the "final" filename is correct :)
Because of its size, the UCSInstall iso file, UCOS_220.127.116.1100-5.sgn.iso, comprises two parts:
Step 1 From www.cisco.com, download the two UCSInstall files.
Step 2 To reunite the two parts of the file, execute one of the following command.
Note Because the 18.104.22.16800-5 build is a nonbootable ISO, it proves useful only for upgrades. You cannot use it for new installations.
a. If you have a Unix/Linux system, cut and paste the following command from this document into the CLI to combine the two parts:
cat UCSInstall_UCOS_22.214.171.12400-5.sgn.iso_part1of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_126.96.36.19900-5.sgn.iso_part2of2 > UCSInstall_UCOS_188.8.131.5200-5.sgn.iso
b. If you have a Windows system, cut and paste the following command from this document into the
command prompt (cmd.exe) to combine the two parts:
COPY /B UCSInstall_UCOS_184.108.40.20600-5.sgn.iso_part1of2+UCSInstall_UCOS_220.127.116.1100-5.sgn.iso_part2of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_18.104.22.16800-5.sgn.iso
Step 3 Use an md5sum utility to verify that the MD5 sum of the final file is correct.
Hope this helps!
