Hi,

Here is an example for local switching:

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-if)#l2vpn

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn)#xconnect group local

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn-xc)#p2p ac1

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn-xc-p2p)#interface gi0/3/0/0

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn-xc-p2p)#interface gi0/3/0/1

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn-xc-p2p)#commit

RP/0/1/CPU0:router(config-l2vpn-xc-p2p)#end

Any-2-Any connection type required 3.8

thank a lot Laurent you helped me a lot. I searched a lot in cisco for any example with no hope. so the following is true

local switching supported for gigaeth

any to any local switching supported in 3.8

does also any to any between two different platforms ( XR and 7200) specificaly vlan on XR and atm on 7200 will require 3.8 also ?

thanks in advance

You are correct. Any to any connection (local switching or not) requires 3.8:
