Hi

I have Cisco 3800 router with 2 port E1 controller card ,problem i have is that the 1 port on the controller works fine ,but the other port keeps giving me a TEI_ASSIGNED status when i do a sh isdn stat ,after running Q921 debugs i can see that my router is not responding to SABME messages from the Telco ,any idea what the problem might be ?

Have you checked the line type -Qsig, DMS etc, CRC4 on/off, Clocking etc. What about the number of channels, . Can you connect the "good circuit" to the faulty port ?

Here are the configs from the router ,also when i connect the good circuit to the faulty port the same situation occurs

network-clock-participate wic 1

network-clock-select 1 E1 0/1/0

network-clock-select 2 E1 0/1/1

Both ports are experiencing slip errors.

configure:

network-clock-participate wic 0

network-clock-select 1 e1 0/0/0

network-clock-select 2 e1 0/0/1

controller e1 0/0/0

clock source line primary

And check if any improvement.

Also try swapping circuites to interface, see if problem stays with port or circuit.

I have configured the clock source line primary command under the controller ,but still no change. I have also tried swapping the circuits ,the problem stays with the port.

Oops ,i found the problem guys ,sorry it was my own stupidity ,i had forgotten to configure the port in CUCM ,so it had a blank config in CUCM.
