I need to upgrade the IOS on a router, however the new IOS image is too big to be supported by the TFTP Server. Do you have any suggestions

Use a different TFTP server or use a FTP or RCP server.

Some of the later routers also have a USB port. For some, you can copy the IOS from a PC to the USB and then from the USB to a router's "normal" flash.
