Is the max character limit in an individual CSS still limited to 512 in version 7.0? We are using 4.1.3 and have hit this limitation. If the limit is still there, is there an easy way to rename the partitions so the character limit is reduced?

CM Should Allow CSS to have Partitions that exceed 512 characters

Symptom:

Ability to Add More Partitions to CSS

Conditions:

Presently, CSS has a limitation where the name of all Partitions assigned to it cannot exced a total

of 512 characters.

Workaround:

- Rename the Partition names to shorten length if possible,

i.e if Partition is "Employee" rename it to "Emp", etc.

What is the new limit of charicters for adding CSS to partitions or are there any limits if you have a version of CCM that the bug is fixed in? Thanks for the info.

Just as an FYI, I had a browse through the Software Downloads and I don't see any of the listed "fixed-in" versions released at this time :(

Thanks maybe Java can tell us what they are planning the limit to be. I have run into this limit in the past and it really limits ones CCM design options.

The bug info did not contained if there was a new limit for the CSS, i assume there is one but they really set a higher number it will be hard someone to reach it.

Rob, on 7.X it will be integrated into 7.1(2) release last i've heard (Available late June).

On 6.X supposedly according to the bug info this is fixed in 6.1(3) release

I don't have a server in 6.1(3) right now so i cannot confirm this.
