RME inventary change message

Dear All,

we are using Ciscoworks lms 3.0.1 in our network.

IN RME version 4.1.1 ,we are getting inventary change for switches and routers with error mentioning change of speed or config text.

Note: Even though we have not made any changes on routers and switches.we get these errors.

Why we get these inventory change without any modification on devices.

These changes indicate typical operation of switches. The interfaces changes indicate that a user connected to the port. The port came online, and negotiated a different speed for that user.

The second set of changes indicate a slight change to the configuration file of the device. It's not clear from this why this is happening. It could be something related to the way the device is storing the file on flash.

In both cases, if you do not care about these changes, you can go to RME > Admin > Inventory > Inventory Change Filter, and check boxes next to the inventory attributes that you do not care about (e.g. those that are expected to change in normal operation).
