What would be a typical rule of thumb if one could view all errored or dropped packets to deterine missing/drop rate? Im assuming packets are recoverable and retransmitted and issues with queues dropping. So not a error rate per se but a measurement of network health. If a packet has 1500 bytes in it, wouldnt a typical BER rate of a link be exacerbated, i.e., 1 bit error cause an entire packet to be lost (12,000 bits).
I have this problem too.
