Hi
Hope u are doing well.
Pl share what is "cost based routing"?
I have 3 PRI providers to my Voice gateway router, provider 1, provider 2, provider 3. Each may give cost effective in terms of local, STD, ISD. Incase if provider 1 is giving cost effective for ISD than provider 2 & 3, i want all the calls to go via the provider 1. If STD is cost effective with provider 2, so my call has to be routed thro it.
Pl tell me how to achieve this kind idea.
Pl revert back on more clarifications.
Regards
Karthik

Are you using ccm? mgcp or h.323 ?

You configure the GWs, then you add them to route groups in the order you want to use them, you add route groups to route lists and assign this to route patterns
In the route groups/lists if telco A has a better cost than telco B, then configure them in that order.
If you know how to configure RP, RL and RG there's nothing else you need.
You'll need to define the necessary digit manipulation if needed.

You just to create separate Route Patterns in CCM 9.1!, 9.001! etc if you use MGCP or on the actual Gateway if you use H323 dial-peers- Destination-pattern 91T 9011T, 900T etc. Depending the cost you point your route to the circuit/ Provider
