We are experiencing issue with our 6509 switch.
Please see the loggs below...all of a sudden all the vlans got reset.

I have inquired about this issue, and they say its a IOS bug,
but then why did it effect only single module (SFP) ? why not other modules on the switch.
all our vlans are connected to Module 1 (SFP) and just that one reset , ( No traps for entire module down, just vlans restarted connected to that module)
very strange....

IOS bugs doesn't have to behave in a predictable or consistent manner.
If you have been advised to update, do that and forget this, for the next problem.

Regarding this error the TAC are saying that its a hardware issue and workaround in this case is to reset the module on the chassis.
