Solved: IP PHone background.

Hii Expert,,

Is there is a way to roll out the costomized background image like a logo for all ip phones using a tool like a BAT or anythiong else.. CCM 4.2 .

Hi!

Currently there's no option in BAT to do that. There's a bug opened as an enhancement request:

CSCsi49844 Background Image on phones through BAT or Phone specific page

Check this tool (not cisco supported), but it can help you out:

"Background Deployment allows an administrator to remotely push a background image to java based phones (7941, 7961, 7970 and 7971 phones)"

You can use the "phone designer" widget in later CUCM versions to personalize background images on your phone.

It's a cool widget to customize, not to bulk!, but you can get more information at:

Well, that's short-sighted of Cisco. Those phones with beautiful backgrounds, and no way in CM to set the fleet to

something. I had visions of updating our phones with company initiatives monthly...

We are currently working on a open source project called Remote Desk Phone, to be released as a BSD project to provide a RDP client for IP phones. Along the project there's a utility that push backgroud images to the phones in Bulk. We have tested succesful pre-alpha releases and will have an Alpha version out there soon. The project is in kenai and Sourceforge
