Is there a way to block calls with either no IE display or 'unknown caller'? I'm not sure if it's possible to do this with translation rules at the gateway because there's really no number to match on. I know in CCM I can set the Unknown Caller ID and Text fields to set the calling number and name on these calls. ...but I'm not aware of any ANI-based routing options in CCM.
Any ideas? I searched the forums for this but couldn't find anything other than MCID for some school bomb threats which is not applicable.
thanks,
Will

voice translation-profile block
translate calling 100
voice translation-rule 100
rule 1 /^$/ reject
voice-port x/y/z
translation-profile block incoming
Again, if you do this, chances are the customer will have you remove it after a while because too many calls are rejected.

Are you using h.323 or mgcp ?
Note however that many valid calls do come without a calling number.

h.323
I've got a customer who asked what the possible options are.

Agreed. Some would call that job security. I'm with you -- it's an annoyance.
Anyways... Is there a way to do this at the CCM level?
thanks again,
Will

Not sure, but I don't think so.

Hi all,
Can we do it if we have an MGCP gateway?
Thanks
