Embedded Packet Capture

I want to capture specific data traffic flowing --through-- my switch (6509E, Sup720-10G) and found the IOS Embedded Packet Capture utility.

Anyone have experience using this tool?

I thought best to limit my selected traffic via an Extended ACL.

Ethanalyzer is available on Nexus 7000 Series switches. It's a wireshark application.

If it's supported on 6509 you should be able to run this command.
