cat 6K VSS ISL question

What is the minimum number of PHYSICAL 10G interfaces reqiured between two cat6K switrches to create a VSS cluster ?

I have this problem too.

minimum is 2, maximum is 8 - please refer to the documentation:

Hi, I just gone through the documentation, but still cannot find the minimum 2 link requirement for VSS.

Can we still go ahead and configure VSS with just one physical between two switch ( Pls ignote the redundancy requirements).

VSL configuration is done over an EtherChannel. You can have one member link in an VSL EtherChannel, but it is NOT an recommended design.

Designing the number of physical links in VSL EtherChannel must be evaluated with following factors:

- Resiliency : To prevent dual ACTIVE condition and de-stabilize VSS network you must ensure at least 2x10G port is bundle in VSL EtherChannel.

- Bandwidth Capacity : Total VSL EtherChannel bandwidth capacity must be at least equivalent to individual virtual-switch nodes uplink. For example, SW1 with 2x10G physical links connecting to Core network, must have at least 2x10G physical link bundled in VSL. This prevents network congestion/traffic drop during both core link failure condition.
