How to prioritize certain IP phone user during SRST

Is there a way to prioritize certain people (e.g. Managers, directors..etc), so that during SRST, we can be assured that they can use their IP phones? Can it be done in CCM? or in gateway configuration?

If it can be done in gateway, can we specify particular extension nummbers or a range of extension numbers to go to a specific gateway?

If it can be done in CCM, how can we configure it? Aside from the SRST reference in the device pool, is there any other way?

There is no way to prioritize phones, they get served as they start sending the registration request to the SRST router and up to the maximum capacity of it.

You should not be allocating more phones that the ones the platform support, that will always allow all phones that should register to do so.

If the platform supports 24 phones in SRST, make sure only 24 phones have it as SRST reference.

Configure as many SRST references and device pools as necessary.

Hello, the SRST reference in the devicepool should be everything you need. You just build two devicepools for phones in a SRST Location (Remote Location) One for Phones that should work in SRST mode and one for the rest. Eg Devicepool-normal-LocationX and Devicepool-SRST-LocationX. Both are identical but the SRST one has the info of which Gateway to use as SRST Gateway. Now you put all "normal" users Phones in the Devicepool-normal-LocationX, the one that should work in SRST mode you put in the Devicepool-SRST-LocationX. Thats it. Now in SRST mode those phones will contact the Gateway and register there should the WAN line fail. Keep in mind not to oversubscribe the SRST Capabilities. Eg a 2801 can handle 24 SRST Phones by default. If you put 30 Phones in the SRST Devicepool on Callmanager the 30 phones will fight for the 24 resources in SRST case and the fastest will win. That you cannot influence.
