Is it possible to configure mobility extension with Call Manager Express?
If yes, is there a link about this.
Best regards

You need to update to 7.0 preferably. Then the configuration is describe in the administration guide.

Hi Iantra,
You require Cisco Unified CME 4.2 or a later version to configure Extension Mobility, but as Paolo nicely noted your best bet would be CME 7.x
Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express System Administrator Guide
Configuring Extension Mobility

Hope this helps!

Hi Rob and Iantra,
The link provided by Rob indicates the following restriction :
"Extension Mobility on remote Cisco Unified CME routers is not supported; a phone user can log into any local Cisco Unified IP phone only. "
Does it mean that Extension Mobility will not function on Mutisites distributed CCME model ?
Is there anyway to have Extension mobility working on Multisites design ?
Thanks in advance.

Correct, EM does not work across CMEs, so you will need to replicate all DN "profiles" in all sites where you expect user to log on, and use perhaps a SIP registration mechanism so that the extension can be reached globally.

Thanks for your reply Paulo.
Could you explain more why and how SIP registration is needed here ?

I never tested that, but I think if you configure a CME as SIP registrar or H.323 GK, the mobility DN will register to it when the user logs in, other CMEs will send all calls for non-local numbers to SIP registrar or via GK, so you should be alble to route always to the right place.
Kind of more advance design that you can entail after you're happy with all the other features of your system.
