Cannot see Running config

Dear All,

I have a cisco 2800 router configured and working perfectly.

Nowadays if fails passing internet traffic and i realised that when i display the runing config it does not show anything. When i dispay the startup config i could see the config.

Everything becomes normal when i restart the router.

Can you help identify the problem?

Probably the conf reg is set to 0x0040.

i have checked the reg config and it is 0x2102.
