We currently have an old Cisco 2602 route and have been advised we should replace it with a Cisco 1841 Router. Is this a valid unit to replace the 2602 with?
Thanks.

Hello Wayne,
yes a C1841 can be a replacement for a C2602.
Depending on your needs other possible choices are possible (also cheaper).
for example for a simple ADSL access with NAT also a C877 could be a good choice if you have only few users.
if you provide more details on what the C2602 has done up to now, number of users and so on you can get better help.
Hope to help

Thanks Giuseppe.
We have about 600 users with the C2602 as the internet facing unit connected via 10mb pipe. I think it is just stopping DOS. Unit is working fine, just getting worried because of its age, are talking about increasing the pipe and we are increasing numbers.
Thanks.
