filover login

hi,

i have two ASA5540 in that i want to login in my 2nd firewall. how i login in my 2nd firewall.

my failover is active/standby mode.

is there any way to login in with telnet.

There should be no problem with logging into the secondary with "telnet ip.secondary.ip.address".

The only problems that I have had with it relates to the fact that Dynamic routes are not transfered to the secondary so if you reply on dynamic routing we may have issues with it. The pix might not know how to get back to your workstation or how to get to external authentication servers.

in active/state_full failover. if i shutdown one asa then second one gone to active ok. now what i give ip add to login into second firewall while my 1st one is running.

sh failover will tell you which is active and standby and their ip aswell

yes you r say right.

but i want to know how to login in standby firewall.

If you have config the outside interface with ip address for the standby firewall.

Config SSH and try to ssh you should able to log in to the secondary firewall.
