where to confogure database

hi,

i have to install 2 server Call Manager 6.1 in mode cluster in the same site.

i shud make one as primary , and the second as buckup. when the primary is dow, the service still with the backup server?

where i shud configure the database ? how i share the services between the servers ? please help ? advice the best design in order to have full backup ?

Simply create the CUCM group for failover

CUCM group

SUB

PUB

That's all you need to do, when you install the SUB all the DB is set up

You need licenses for both servers

ok thanks for help.

i have make this steps:

installig the first mode,declare the second node in the first server: system, server.

install licences for 2 nodes and for devices.

install the second node, then i have create one groupwith this ordre:node1, node 2.

now where i shud configure tftp, extension, users,..:in both server or just one server.

I see you're new to this.

Info replicates to all servers in the cluster.

I recommend you to read the SRND to understand how CUCM works

i have this book, but in chapeter clustering, thyy speak generaly, and i can't find some example.

ok for activating services: i schud

activatie all services in both server.

and for TFTP if i shud activate this service in both server.

i workd with ccme, cisco unity, ccm business edition( not cluster)

and this is the firdt time for me xith cluster.
