Anormal CPU usage with 12.2.33-SRC3

Hi,

we are using 12.2.33-SRC2 on 7600 router. We were having anormal CPU load at different time of the day.

We ve just find out the pb. Each time our management station issue snmp request, CPU is high on the router (100 %) and the result is we lost packets !!!!

we download 12.2.33-SRC3 and have the same pb.

Is it a known issue ? Anyway to solve it ?

Hi,

It's usually related to what your NMS is polling so first check your NMS is not polling OID not supported by the router then if you are polling OIDs which represent huge data like a big routing table, it could lead to high CPU as well.

You may also have several NMS polling the chassis at the same time...
