Hello Yang,

I would stay with Native IOS.


With Native IOS you can use single ports as L2 ports as needed.


However, a conversion procedure from Native IOS to Hybrid Mode exists:

Be also aware that CatOS is not shipped anymore in new devices.

I think Giuseppe is spot on with his advice. CatOS/IOS on the 6500 ie. hybrid is being phased out and Cisco are recommending people move to IOS ie. native -
