Thanks for the info it was the isdn point-to-point-setup command and I have got this part of it working.

I am not able to make any calls across it it gives me a secondary dialtone. Below is the debug isdn q931 output.

Is one side set to 'user' and one to 'network"? I don't work with BRI much (ever), but with PRI a lot and I know that would be important for a setup like this.

On the router that receives the call, configure:

dial-peer voice 1 pots

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

Recommend you read more documentation before working with routers because all you're asking is explained in there.

Thanks guys, I managed to get it working there was a redundant incoming dialpeer which was used for incoming calls and it didn't have the direct-inward-dial.

p.bevilacqua, I know about working on a router but there are certain things which may seem obvious but is not and the documentation can not resolve it. Appreciate your recommendation but it's not always the case to refer to the doco hence there is sites like this one. I had another dialpeer which was being used for incoming calls.

I did not mean that you don't use due diligence, but simply that answers to issues like "bri network side" or "dialtone calling into router" are easily found using the forum or cco searchbox, because these are frequently asked.
