Hi All,
Please tell what is the difference inthe two versions of IOS shown in the output of show version. And what is the logic of this difference and can these two value be made same by some way.
Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-ADVIPSERVICESK9-M), Version 12.4(21a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 12.3(8r)T7, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: Cisco IOS Software, 2800 Software (C2800NM-IPBASE-M), Version 12.4(3a), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc2)

This is the IOS which ur router is using or normal operations.
And the second one which is in ROM will be used incase ur above IOS fails to load or is curropted.

To supplement the correct answer given by Mahmood, no there is not a way to make the two versions the same. There are different and they serve different purposes, and they can not be made the same.
