How to set that a SIP device cannot display unicode?

Is there any way to set in the CuCM 6.x that a SIP device cannot display unicode characters?

I configured several Nokia S60 devices with CuCM and I found that when a user's display name contains Central European special characters (eg.: a', o:, o" u', u" etc.), the Nokia Phone cannot display correctly whan an incoming call in progress.

Is there any way to set the CuCM that use the ASCII diplay name?

Thanks,

Gabor

The current release CUCM 6.0(1b) extends support for phones that are running SIP features.

•PhoneSetLamp (but only for setting the MWI lamp)

•PhoneSetDisplay

•PhoneDevSpecific (CPDST_SET_DEVICE_UNICODE_DISPLAY)

•LineGenerateTone

•Park and UnPark

•The LINECALLREASON_REMINDER reason for CallPark reminder calls

•PhoneGetDisplay (but only after a PhoneSetDisplay)

This means that we need a TAPI server?

Or there is any other way to set this? Our CCM version is 6.1.2.
