Hi all,

We have installed 36 3750 in our computercenter. Now we have noticed that same of them can't be managed. Reboot fix the problem. We are running 12.2(50)SE. Console says "no memory try later". The switch is running ok, but no management.

Has anyone encountered this problem?

Regards

Mats

Memory leaks are almost always code issues. 12.2.50SE is a deferred version which they don't want you to use so you may want to try the newest version or fall back to like 12.2.46 .

Hi.

Unfortunately, yes:

CSCsz79652 Memory leak in *dead* memory

Externally found severe (Sev2) bug: N-New

Conditions

This issue occurs in IOS version 12.2(50)SE and l2.2(50)SE1. IOS version

12.2(44)SE is not affected.

The problem occurs when using Cisco Network Assistant to poll the device.

ip http server or ip http secure-server need to be enabled for the leak to

occur.

Workaround

Disable the http server or stop CNA from polling the device.

Hi,

A big Thankyou for your replies. I'm going to disable httpserver and maybe go back to 12.2(44).

Mats

Hi Mats.

Thanks for your comments.

Got this update from Cisco:

Development has been able to successfully reproduce the issue in their lab setup.

The next step is that they will be looking for the root cause (in the code). After findings this, they will be working on finding a fix for the problem.

So patience is probably a good thing :-)
