Confirm effect of passive-interface on OSPF

Hey, imagine I need to configure OSPF on a production device. Later some other peers will review config.

If I configure OSPF as:

router ospf 1

passive-interface default

network x.x.x.x...

That means I would not establish neighbor relationships with routers yet. That means that I would avoid causing conflict in case routes I have advertise and later co-workers could access router config, see the OSPF config and if approved, then do later 'no passive-interface...' and the whole thing should work.

Is my understanding of the passive-interface default correct?

Passive-interface will keep neighbors from forming. When you enable your ospf process to create adjacencies later, you can leave passive-interface default on and add the interface you want to advertise on with no passive-interface fa0/1 (or whatever interface you need to go out on).
