"show idprom interface gx/x " should give you that . This is on newer switches like 4500's and 6500's ,3650's etc...

I use 3548-xl-en Switch. The show idprom is not listed? Can you please give me right command to check in the 3548 Switch.

sh inventory

this tells the s/n

I have never been able to find the command for stackables, but for chassis switches try-

show idprom interface gigabitEthernet [port number]

The WS-C3500-XL-EN does not have the support to "interrogate" the GBIC for details such as S/N. You have no choice but to pull it out.
