Directory Services When Using SIP on CCME

Greetings, we have a 2811 ISR running CME v7.1. We only use SIP for inbound and outbound calls but all phones are registered with the CME system using SCCP.

Im trying to get directory information displayed on the handsets for incomming calls by using the local directory in combination with the following commands under telephony services. This configuration works without issue when using ISDN breakouts.

service dnis overlay

service dnis dir-lookup

Ive done a dial peer debug for an incomming call as per the attatched file and can identify the calling number being my mobile, the called number is a secondary number on one of my DN's this has been added into the directory using the following:

directory entry 1 07788222111 name John Doe

Could anyone suggest why the directory service doesnt display the name on the handset for incomming calls?

Regards

Hi, I think the directory entry feature is attached to PSTN calls only and will never work sith SIP.

You can looks at the name2number script that I wrote, these whould work with any media to provide a calling name.
