CUEAC - CUBAC - CUDAC and MCS OS 1.x

A client wants to re-use MCS hardware that was for CUCM/CCM 4.3 that shipped with the MCS 1.x 2003 OS for CUEAC. Of course the server will be reimaged like new with the MCS provided 2003 image, but the CUEAC installation guides say not to use the MCS OS as it will not be supported. So the question is, what's wrong with the MCS based OS? Has anyone tried it even in a lab environment and was there any special changes? Thanks.

I do not know the exact details but believe there are some retirictions on the OS which causes CUEAC to not work
