Fiber Channel is not ethernet.
FC was deployed to interconnect disk storage with servers, so it has different pro and cons.
For example it has low payload and reliable transfer.
You can pass FC over ethernet with a FCoE gateway, but you cant use a FC link to route IP traffic.
