Dear All,
We plan to change the URL filterting system from our network. currently we use Websense. our management has decided to cancel the extension due to market slowdown.
Can u guide to find a cheap and best URL filtering solution for our network. we have cisco PIX 515 and Cisco Switch 4507 in our network.
Thanks in advance

Shibu,
Unfortunately, Websense and N2H2 (http://www.securecomputing.com/index.cfm?skey=22&menu=products) are the only supported filtering servers that Cisco supports.

Couple work arounds to test/think about.
1) ASA/PIX URL filtering:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/products_configuration_example09186a0080940e04.shtml
2) Theory here. If you're utilizing internal DNS, create the Domain's you want to block and manually create the zone to point internally.
I've gotten the 1st option to work, in theory the second one would work but you would need to be crafty in DNS.
Hope this helps, rate if it does!
