How do I enable ip forwarding/routing in cisco catalyst 2960?
I am currently running: Version 12.2(44)SE3

Hello Mike,
C2960 should be a L2 only switch
check here

so you should not be able to use it for inter vlan routing

Layer 2 only , no routing on this switch.

Hello in some releases you can enable ip routing on a L2 switch c2960 with SDM preferences depends which IOS release you are running
(config)#sdm prefer lanbase-routing
This worked for me.

Yeah this thread is 5 years old, before they enable routing on the 2960's. Think you have to have at least 12.2.55 code also.
