I would like to get an email alert when a configuration change has taken place on my cisco router or switch. It should be able to tell me which IP address made the change. Free tools are welcome

Use IOS (only works on routers for now)!

Hope that helps.

Hi Collin,
I am interested in the send email feature. I have a doubt that when the router sending the email, does it act as a SMTP server or a client which we need offer the username and password.
Thanks,
Kirin

It acts as a client sending to your SMTP server. Adding credentials shouldn't be too hard, just take a look at the TCL script.
