CSS 11500 load balancing

Hi, I have a CSS 11500 installed on a client's site performing load load balancing for 4 servers. Its also using SSL termination module.

The content rule is configured as follows :

content servers

url "/*"

protocol tcp

port 80

advanced-balance arrowpoint-cookie

add service server1

add service server2

add service server3

add service server4

balance aca

active

The problem we are having is that for some reason when one of these server goes down, the CSS keeps trying to send requests to the down server.

Is it possible that this load balancing method could cause this behaviour ?

Or do I need to perform another method to avoid this ?

Thanks

Hi, you should check the keepalive method configured in the CSS for those servers.

During the failure of the server, have you seen what is the status of the keepalive?

If the keepalive is up, the CSS will continue sending packets to that servers.

Thanks for the response and the suggestion.

Apparently there was some other issue not related to the keepalive method on the CSS that was causing the problem.

Thanks anyhow.

Could you please share what was that? and how was it resolved.Thanks.
