I'm using a UC500 and I'm trying to change the bckground image in a Cisco 7970 IP phone, I followed the steps in this link:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps4625/products_tech_note09186a008062495a.shtml

but when I finished I still get a message (Selections Unavailable) when trying to change it, I tried to use this command(debug tftp event) for debuging but I got no events .

any Ideas ....

Different models look in different directories for the List.xml since the screen size differs phone to phone.  Check the format of List.xml inside the proper directory where your phone will look....

7970 - 7971 - 12 Bits - /Desktops/320x212x12

*Full size image - 320 pixels (width) X 212 pixels (height).

*Thumbnail image-80 pixels (width) X 53 pixels (height).

Look in the flash and see the directories.

Notice the format of the List.xml...  Its using images in the flash: root, but they can be anywhere on Flash your point to.

The TFTP-SERVER statement as well are used and the alias is important...

tftp-server flash:/Desktops/CampusNight.png
tftp-server flash:/Desktops/CiscoFountain.png
tftp-server flash:/Desktops/CiscoLogo.png
tftp-server flash:/Desktops/Fountain.png
tftp-server flash:/Desktops/MorroRock.png

tftp-server flash:/Desktops/320x212x16/List.xml alias Desktops/320x212x16/List.xml
tftp-server flash:/Desktops/320x212x12/List.xml alias Desktops/320x212x12/List.xml

Now when I start TFTP Event Debug and go to a phone and select a different desktop..... (i will select Cisco Fountain), but you will see it display all the Thumbnails on the phone, first....
