CSM: Best way to age/move connections off of real server

I want to take a real server out of a production server farm, but would like the connections to age out gracefully. (Using a CSM). Is the best way to do this is to change the weight of the real server or change the LB predictor algorithm max and min connections to zero?

Thanks!

Hi,

See http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/interfaces_modules/services_modules/csm/4.2.x/configuration/guide/rsfarms.html

If you change the setting of the real server in the serverfarm to "no inservice" then theCSM performs graceful server shutdown.

This command stops all new sessions from being load balanced to the real server while allowing existing sessions to complete or time out. New sessions are load balanced to other servers in the server farm for that virtual server.

Thanks Cathy!
