Hi All,
I have site to site VPN between ASA and PIX. I want to connect to PIX by ssh or telnet through ASA. I know we can do this in router with "telnet" command. is there any way to connect to PIX through ASA by SSH or telnet?
thanks for any suggestion.
Alex

no. the asa and pix do not have either a telnet or ssh client.

topology:
Host-1---PIX---Tunnel----ASA---Host-2
Once you enable
management-access inside on the ASA
then you can use Host-1 to telnet to the ASA on its inside interface IP address and vice versa.

Does this help?

Thanks for the reply,
how about connect to PIX by ASA command line?
the problem is PIX is only allow SSH access from inside interface not outside. I don't have access to the inside of PIX. I want to connect to PIX by SSH to the PIX inside IP address in the ASA command line.
also I don't have access to any host inside ASA.
is this possible?
thanks
Alex

For security reasons, it is by design that you cannot telnet or ssh from the firewall.
