Not sure which 3G you have, nor which carrier you are using (and in what country), but here's a cheat sheet for the HSPA:

http://www.davidsudjiman.info/2009/05/29/cisco-881g-and-pcex-3g-hspa-configuration-cheat-sheet/

The dial string will be different based on the carrier.

Perhaps this link from the Cisco doc might also prove useful:

Dear Robert,

The country is egypt and i have two connections from two carries ( Vodafone & Etislat) .

Thank you for the rating - please let us know how it works out.

Dear Robert,

I didn't configure the router yet , i will notify you after applying it.

BR,

Mohamed Ibrahim

I have a 881 that we are configuring for proof of concept

purposes and have a question that I have been unable to

answer with online documentation and CSC.

Do I need both a Cellular interface and a Dialer interface? I have both configured the same at the moment and the router is making calls but have been told that it should work with just a Cellular interface.

The router will be making a VPN connection back to a concentrator for a site-to-site connection. Any thoughts on how to configure for a dynamic connection and not a static site-to-site VPN link?

Thanks in advance...

Brent
