We have loaded IOS 124-24T on a 2800 series router. We were getting a buzzing noise on inbound calls to our FXS lines. Removing the caller-id enable command from the voice-ports resolved the issue.
Problem we are having is that once the router is reloaded the caller-id enable command comes back as well as the issue.
The startup config will show correctly without the caller-id enable command, but the running config will have it.
Has anyone had this issue? Is there a walk around?
This problem does not happen in 124-20T3, but it does happen with 124-22T through 124-24T. And we have to at least be at 124-22T for Call Mgr v7 which we are upgrading to soon.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi Mark,
Can you send 'show run' 'show version'?

I don't see anything in here that would cause that.
Only suspicion is SNMP, but that looks pretty harmless.
I'll poke around a bit, but I can't explain this yet.
