Can Telepresence CTM3000 interoperate with Polycom HDX9000 to provide 720p HD quality session.

Hi,
To be able to interoperate with non-Telepresence video endpoints, you will need Cisco TelePresence Multipoint Switch and possibly an MCU if video transcoding is needed. Check this link out, hopefully it might give you some idea on it.

Thanks for your reply!
Do you know whether CTM can interop with Polycom HDX running at 720p High Defination resolution video[4.3M bps per session]. I known CUVC can communicate with 3rd party endpoint but interop segment is only limited to video at 768kbps. Do you know any new release can support HD segment?

Hi,
I don't that it will do 720p. If you refer to the following link and look at Table 2 under CT interoperability
Video resolution is CIF.
Thanks,

Do you know whether CISCO has any Lab testing with Polycom on 720p HD VC or White paper describing the interoperability? Thanks...

Hi,
I know there has been some lab testing done between telepresence and other non-cisco HD video endpoints, including the HDX 9000. Unfortunately I cannot divulge anything from there.
As for a white paper, I could not find any. So either it does not exist or is not public yet.
Thanks,
