RME Server Credentials Error

stephenscott

I was trying to 'fix' something in Network Discrepancy Reports and I get the following error.

RME Server Credentials is not set. Please set the credentials using RME Server Credentials page.

Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

Thanks,

Stephen

'fixing' a dicrepancy error from Campus will setup an according RME job because RME is the application which can change a device configuration. For this Campus needs to know the login credentials. You have to enter these under

Campus manager > Admin > RME Server Credentials

Thanks for the reply.

After entering the credentials, I get the following error.

"Cannot connect to the RME server for fixing Discrepancy. See Help to know why the connection failed. Go to the RME Server Credentials page for details on configuring the credentials correctly.."

Any help?

It sounds like you entered the wrong data. What values did you specify?

RME Server Name: I entered 172.16.1.x

RME Server Port: 1741

RME Server Protocol: https

User Name: cisco*****

User Password: ********

Verify User Password: *******

I verified the username/password combo. I am not sure if the other info is valid as to what is expected.

Thanks J.

your problem are these 2 lines:

RME Server Port: 1741

RME Server Protocol: https

1741 is the http Port

443 is the https port

I changed the port to 443...now I get this error.

ERROR - Authentication of the user ciscoworks failed. Recommended action: Enter proper username and password.

SUMMARY

========

Failed: import: Authentication of the user ciscoworks failed. Recommended action: Enter proper username and password.

For more details see Help.

I know that the credentials are correct. I can log into the switch using the credentials with no problem.

Thanks mermel.

Are you sure you're using HTTPS for regular LMS access? When looking at the portal in your browser, what is the URL in the Location bar?

https://jac*****works/cwportal/c/portal/layout?p_l_id=PRI.3.5#

Okay, so HTTPS is right. Is this server integrated with ACS, or using an external logon module?

J,

It is integrated with ACS.

Does this user have access to run the RME cli commands?

How do I check to see if the user has access to run cli commands?

the user has level 15 priv on my devices if that is what you mean. The user is in the same TACACS+ group on the ACS as I am, and that is level 15.

No, I mean in LMS, does the ciscoworks user have all of necessary rights to RME cli tasks in the ACS server. If so, post the cli.log and ConfigCLI.log.
