Guys,

I have a problem with a routes being advertized into my AS from an external peer.

The ASBR is a RR-Server and it's not propagating the routes to it's configured clients.

How come?

The next hop is reachable.

I tried putting the next-hop-self and nothing changed.

what could be some other symptoms?

P.S:

I also found this in the config:

ip as-path access-list 5 permit ^$

ip as-path access-list 5 permit ^64516$

It's applied to all RR-clients..

Regular expressions are not my favorite, but this mean that if the route didn't originate internally of from private AS 64516 don't advertize??

it's applied outbound on all the clients.

Your understanding of the as-path access-list is correct and if the route did not originate locally or from AS 64516 then it will not be advertised. Is this as-path access-list also configured on your RR server? If so it would explain why routes are not being advertised.
