Caller ID from transferred calls

When a call comes in to a receptionist, and is forwarded to an employee's VM, the message the employee receives is that it was forwarded from 1 of the 2 receptionist extensions.  Shouldn't the called ID convey that the call came from the originating number, not the receptionist extensions, even if the call is transferred?  How can we configure the UC520 to handle the call and relay the information?  Basically, since everyone gets the AA at ext 600, this is what the user sees on their caller ID.

Thanks for any assistance.

I believe that you are correct, the caller id for transferring calls to an extension or voicemail from a receptionist's phone should show the original calling party's number.  Can you turn on the debugging "debug ccsip messages" and enable "terminal mon" then make one of these transfer calls?  This should tell us what is going on.  When done don't forget to type "u all" to turn off the debugs.
