BGP - ORF policy

Hi, Why we need ORF policy in BGP. What is the advantage of that ?

Normal filtering is done by blocking prefixes when they arrive to the router. By blocking prefixes when they arrive to the router, those prefixes already consume precious bandwidth and CPU.

With ORF, you send the prefix-list to the remote BGP speaking router and that router never sends those prefixes over the wire.
