UCM 6.0

Answered Question
Jun 11th, 2009

I need to add a NTP source to UCM 6.0. I have 1 pub and 2 subs in the cluster. I currently have the pub pointing to itself for NTP source & the subs are pointing to the pub. I need to sync UCM with our LAN NTP source so the PC's & IP Phones have the same time. Do I need to create a new Phone NTP Reference and point that to the date/time group? Or should I just change the NTP source at the OS administration level? Please advise. Thanks! Jaime

I have this problem too.

You just need to change the NTP source at the OS administration level.

Phones will get the time from CUCM server they registered with.

Phone NTP reference is *only* used if you want to point the CUCM and the phones to different NTP sources.
