I am facing issue with RIP, i am advertising a subnet from two routers at same site with different metric but the incoming traffic is prefering the higher metric path for that subnet.
to give it a temporary fix i remove advertisement from secondary router which resolves the problem temporarily but after 2-3 days it again starts prefering the higher metric route.
Please help if you have encountered such problem with rip & if you have the resolution to it ...
You need to prove with detailed traces from a third router, that the wrong path is selected.
Usually, while doing that, one himslef finds what the problem really is and fixes it.
Routers are rarely at fault.
