Can any one guide me how to configure swithports for multiple vlan membership.

Please explain what problem are you trying to solve because by definition ports must belong to one vlan only.

I think what you are asking for is trunk port , here is a simple config sample.
Interface GigabitEthernet1/3
switchport trunk encapsulation dot1q
switchport trunk allowed vlan 602,990
switchport mode trunk
