ASA export to tftp

Hello Netpro world!

I have an ASA 5505 with base license, running the new 8.2 code.

I was interested in testing this perl script to automate configuration backups:

http://6200networks.com/2008/02/06/using-a-script-to-back-up-asa-configuration/

But I ran into a strange issue. Basically it didn't work at all, none of the configurations were loaded over tftp.

So I dug into the script, and I found they use the export command to push the config to tftp. The command 'export webvpn url-list tc-bookmarks tftp://192.168.2.47' is meant to upload this url-list to my tftp server, but it never happens, it doesn't show any errors but these files never appear on my tftp host.

So naturally I attempted this command at the CLI outside of the script. Here is a complete copy/paste:

fw# export webvpn url-list tc-bookmarks tftp://192.168.2.47

!

%INFO: URL list 'tc-bookmarks' was exported to tftp://192.168.2.47

fw#

fw# export webvpn url-list tc-bookmarks tftp://192.168.2.47/foo

!

%INFO: URL list 'tc-bookmarks' was exported to tftp://192.168.2.47/foo

fw#

However, I know that tftp works because I can easily 'copy run tftp' and the file always shows up.

Any ideas? Am I using the export command incorrectly?

Thanks for your help!

Paul

My mistake, my tftp server was misconfigured. This script works now!
