UCCX5.0 - external SQL database via ODBC issue

Follows my scenario,

-external SQL server

-UCCX ODBC > systme DSN > add as name "db_external". TEST successful

-UCCX > subsystem > database > added the name as "db_external"

when I run "DB Read" in UCCX script, cannot detect the name "db_external" even I click the "Refresh Database Schema" button.

It works okay if I configure local data source (UCCX local box) with the above same process.

Any idean why I cannot detect the external SQL database from UCCX script "DB Read"?

Thanks in advance,

Can you ping db_external? Add an entry to the local hosts file if there is no DNS to resolve host names

No luck even add 'db_external' into local hosts

I never been experience external SQL databse integration so it may my basic configuration issue. pleaes advise based on the environment

- (workgroup,host name=ops1cucx)

- 2000 (workgroup, host name=appl1)

-they can name based pinging each other

-install SQL2000 and update the sa password to 'sa'

-system DSN > create 'db_external' > select SQL authentication with sa/sa > successful

-UCCX > subsystem > database > db_external/sa/sa

-Script editor > DB read > click but not show the "db_external" in <-- at this time I captured the packet trace

3. packet trace in

source_ip,destination_ip,protocol,desctiption,,SMB,Negotiate Protocol Request,,SMB,Negotiate Protocol Response,,SMB,Session Setup AndX Request, NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE,,SMB,Session Setup AndX Response, NTLMSSP_CHALLENGE, Error: STATUS_MORE_PROCESSING_REQUIRED,,SMB,Session Setup AndX Request, NTLMSSP_AUTH, User: OPS1CUCX\CRSAdministrator,,SMB,Session Setup AndX Response, Error: STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE

4. login failure in external SQL server while database schema refreshing in UCCX. Do I need extra steps to configure properly?

Advise please,
