LAN fibre link encryption

Hi there Netpros,

I have small LAN in a satellite office that has 2960 switches interconnected by relatively short fibre runs.

The client is a government agency and required encryption on the links.

I'd prefer a Cisco solution, but I think that will mean additional routers or ASAs.

Can anyone recommend another solution using switches or possibly hardware encryption devices?

Thanks

That is how gov.t wastes money.

However, switches don't encrypt. Use routers with IPsec.

If you need to have encryption between devices, it should be performed on the hosts.
